HOUSTON

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has its headquarters and space exploration center in Houston. Some of its flights carry flag from countries that aren’t participants in its space programs. This is how the Croatian flag was flown into space. The photograph documenting the event was gifted to Ivo Josipović, the president of the Republic of Croatia, during his visit to Huston on the 17th of May, 2015. To commemorate the event, he had his photo taken in the Harmony training room of the Space Center.
